Invitation to Webinar on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing – 19 February 2025, online

Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), is pleased to announce a webinar on Hyperspectral (HS) remote sensing.

The event will take place online on 19 February 2025, and is specifically designed for PhD students and early-career researchers interested in the Earth Observation (EO) sector. The webinar aims to provide participants with the opportunity to enhance their expertise in HS data processing.

Experts from ASI and DLR will deliver a training session covering both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of HS data, with a focus on satellite-based and in-situ components. In addition, Transilvania University of Brasov will showcase examples of HS applications in Romania.

This webinar is part of the “Reaching Excellence in Hyperspectral Remote Sensing” (EXPERT) project, funded by the European Commission under the HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-02 (Twinning) Call. The project is coordinated by ROSA and aims to enhance ROSA’s expertise and capabilities in HS data processing by leveraging the knowledge and best practices of ASI and DLR – two of the world’s leading space agencies in satellite, airborne, and ground-based HS technologies, including the groundbreaking PRISMA, EnMAP, and DESIS missions.

Please register here. Registration is open until 18 February 2025.

We look forward to your participation in this unique opportunity to learn and connect with leading experts in the field!
