Good news! The application deadline for the Hyperspectral Autumn School 2026 has been extended until 30 June

Organised within the Horizon Europe EXPERT project by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), together with the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Autumn School will take place in Sinaia, Romania, from 12–16 October 2026.

This intensive training programme offers a unique opportunity for young researchers, PhD students and Earth Observation professionals to deepen their knowledge of hyperspectral remote sensing through a combination of lectures, practical exercises, mentoring and team-based activities.

Participants will explore topics including:
πŸ”Ή Fundamentals of imaging spectroscopy
πŸ”Ή Hyperspectral applications for agriculture, water quality and mining
πŸ”Ή Accessing and working with PRISMA and EnMAP satellite data
πŸ”Ή Dimensionality reduction and spectral unmixing techniques
πŸ”Ή Image co-registration using HyperCoreg tools
πŸ”Ή In situ spectroscopic measurements and validation methodologies
πŸ”Ή Field campaign design and data preparation workflows
πŸ”Ή Science communication for Earth Observation projects

The programme also includes hands-on sessions with SVC spectrometers, expert mentoring from leading specialists in the field, collaborative team challenges, and networking opportunities with the European hyperspectral remote sensing community.
